Alex is a dynamic food and drinks stylist, passionate about bringing food to life in commercial & editorial shoots. With a Leiths first class cooking diploma and a background in food marketing; Alex combines cooking expertise with a keen eye for aesthetics.

Alex is a professional baker, and co-founded Meringue Girls in 2012 - a vibrant and innovative baking brand that quickly gained a cult following.   

She authored, styled & published two baking cookbooks with Random House -  Meringue Girls Cookbook' and 'Everything Sweet'. The books were endorsed by Jamie Oliver, Gizzi Erskine, Rachel Khoo & Anna Jones.

Renowned for trend-setting rainbow meringues, brownies, cakes, & cookies - Meringue Girls graced the shelves of Harrods & Selfridges, and were a popular feature at press parties & high end events.

Alex built up a thriving Instagram community with over 170,000 followers - alluring food content creation & recipe videos being key to the business’ success.

Highlights of the journey include creating eye-catching window displays at Selfridges of mountainous meringues, demos on Paul Hollywood's TV show, baking live on Sunday Brunch, and presenting baking videos for Waitrose.

In 2023, Alex achieved a significant milestone with the successful sale of the Meringue Girls brand.

Alex has collaborated with renowned photographers including David Loftus and Tim Walker.

Food & drinks styling clients include Jamie Magazine, M&S, Diageo, Kellogg's, Green & Blacks,Buzzfeed, Belvita, Waitrose, Fairtrade, The Guardian, Italian Vogue, Mr Porter, Grazia, Almond Board of California, Wines of Germany, and Wallpaper Magazine. 

Much of Alex’s portfolio features her own prop styling - if a shoot also requires props, Alex loves sourcing the perfect pieces. 

Her skills extend to video content for Bailey’s & recipe writing for Dr Oetker, Sainsbury’s & Grazia.

Alex’s experience in food styling has taught her the tricks of the trade to create visually stunning and enduring food on set -  reflected in her curated styling kit - which includes tools such as homemade faux ice, an array of precision devices, & concoctions of mists for the perfect shot!

With an eye for detail, colour, art & innovation - Alex brings a unique skill to every project.
